The Flying Monk Band, are a Covers band based in Malmesbury, South West England. We regularly play the Bristol/Bath/Wiltshire pub circuit, but are also available for private functions and festivals.
With a wide range of covers from Blues through the whole Rock genre, our choice of covers demonstrates the wide range of musical taste of the band members, and we are regularly adding to the list we choose from. Our aim is to play music we enjoy playing, and that you enjoy listening, dancing, and singing along to! We have recently added a medley of Rock n Roll.

After much arm bending to keep him as long as we did, Steve Phelps is sadly leaving the Monks to continue his University studies. Just to say "thank you" to Steve and his family for some great times over the last few years. There simply is no better cowbell player in Wiltshire! We are currently hot on the heels of a replacement. 18th January 2010 - Update And here he is: introducing on drums - Mr Nigel Wharry. Played drums for various rock and brass rock bands in the early 70's, and more recently with Corsham based Classic Rock / Joe Bonamassa tribute band 'White Room' until October 2009. Enjoys playing most genres of music, with the exception of rap and thrash!
